Custom Domain

You use the Custom Domain feature to personalize the web address (URL) for each of your Spaces within the Environment. You access each Space through a branded and unique domain name instead of a default or shared domain. You align each domain name with your organization's identity and branding requirements.

📘

NOTE

The Custom Domain feature is part of the white-label platform.

To enable this feature, please contact your Account Manager or Support Team. They will evaluate your eligibility and guide you through the setup process.

You gain several advantages by implementing a custom-branded domain:

  • Branded Access URLs — Each Space is accessible via a structured URL such as https://{space-name}.yourdomain.com. The platform automatically replaces the {Workspace-name} placeholder with the actual name of that Space.

For example, suppose your organization is a telecom provider named "Eli Package" and you resell the platform to different customers. Once your custom domain is configured, you access each customer Space via a unique subdomain:

    • For customer "Luna Bakery": lunabakery.elipackage.com
    • For customer "Evergreen Fitness": evergreenfitness.elipackage.com
    • For customer "Nova Dental": novaldental.elipackage.com

Each URL points to a different Space within your Environment. You provide a fully branded experience to your end customers through this structure.

  • Consistent Branding — You maintain full control over the look and feel of the domain your users access.

  • Professional Appearance — You build credibility with internal teams or end users by aligning with your own domain structure.

Domain Configuration Paths

You work with two domain configuration paths. Only one is recommended and fully supported.

  1. When the Platform Manages the Domain (Recommended)

When the platform provisions and manages the domain, full compatibility and branding flexibility are guaranteed:

    • Each Space automatically receives a dedicated subdomain: https://{space-name}.yourdomain.com
    • The domain is fully configured and maintained by the platform.
    • You benefit from reduced technical effort and reliable performance.
  2. ⚠️ When You Provide Your Own Domain (Not Recommended)

When you opt to use a domain you already own, important limitations apply:

    1. No Subdomain Assignment — You are not able to assign unique subdomains to your individual customers. All users access the platform using the same shared URL.
    2. No Per-Space Branding — You are not able to apply different logos or icons for each customer Space. All customers see the same branding across the platform.

    Example:

    • Provided Domain: mydomain.com
    • Shared Access URL: cpass.mydomain.com (applies to all your customers)

You manage complex DNS configurations across several services when using this path. Flexibility is significantly reduced under this option.

Key Recommendation

The recommended path is to have the platform manage the custom domain. You avoid unnecessary support complexity and gain full subdomain-level configuration.

You guarantee platform functionality and branding consistency by choosing this path.

You initiate the process by submitting a request to set up the custom URL feature. After your request is received, you choose from a selection of available domain options.

NOTE

Only one custom domain can be assigned per owner.
