SMS Message Template

Build reusable SMS message formats with the SMS Message Template creator for use across Broadcasts and Automations. Message Templates simplify message creation, ensure consistency, and save time when launching recurring or multi-step communication flows.

To begin creating an SMS message template:

1. After you select the Templates icon and click + New template, a pop-up window appears. Click the SMS option.

   
   
   

2. After you select SMS, a second window appears. Two options are available:

   • Click Create Blank Template to build a new message template from scratch, or

   • Choose from existing SMS message templates (if available) to clone and reuse an existing format.

     
     
     

3. To create a new SMS Message Template, click the Create blank Template button. Once you click it, the SMS Message Template creator appears with several fields to complete:

   
   1. Template Name — Enter a unique name to identify the message template.
   2. Description — Provide a short description of the message template's purpose.
   3. Message — Write the SMS message content. The platform sends this content to end users.

   4. Personalized Fields (Optional) — Insert dynamic fields (like {{first_name}}, {{phone}}, etc.). These fields are replaced with real subscriber data when the message is sent.
   5. Categories (Optional) — Organize your message template by assigning it to a category using the Categories dropdown. This makes message templates easier to find later.

4. After you complete all fields:

   • Click the Save button.
   • A confirmation message appears. The platform redirects you to the main Message Templates screen, where the new template is listed.
   • Complete all required fields before saving. A warning message appears at the bottom of the screen if any fields need attention.
