WABA

You use the WABA (WhatsApp Business Account) tab to manage and assign WhatsApp Business Accounts to the Environment. WABAs assigned here become available for all Workspaces within the Environment.

To add a WABA to the Environment, you begin typing the WABA name in the search field. You see the field populate with matching WABAs as you type.

When you find the desired WABA, you select it and select the Add button.

After the WABA is added, you select the Save button in the lower right corner. You see the WABA displayed in the WABAs table.

You see the following columns in the WABAs table:

  • Name — Name of the WABA.

  • Business Information Name — The WhatsApp Business name that customers see on your WhatsApp Business profile. This column shows the business name associated with the WABA.

  • Ownership Type — Shows how the WABA was created and who retains administrative control over it. You work with two ownership types:

    • OBO (On Behalf Of) — This type appears when the support team created the WABA on your behalf. The WABA is hosted and managed under the Business Solution Provider (BSP) infrastructure.

You request the Account Manager to set up the WABA and configure its sender (phone number). The support team handles all configurations and account creation. You use this type when you prefer a fully managed setup without performing technical steps directly.

    • Client Owned — This type appears when you created the WABA via the Embedded Sign-Up feature. The WABA is hosted under the BSP and fully controlled through your Meta Business account.

You link or create a WABA directly from the platform. You authenticate with Meta, assign phone numbers, and complete all configurations. You use this type when you have a Meta Business Account and prefer to manage configurations directly.

  • Line Credit — Indicates whether the WABA has an active line of credit.

  • Actions — You delete a WABA by selecting the trash can icon in the Actions column.

You use this tab to manage WhatsApp Business Accounts within an Environment. You ensure the correct accounts are available and properly configured for all Workspaces.
