You assign Routes and Virtual Routes to the Environment in this section. All Routes and Virtual Routes listed here are then available for assignment to the Workspaces created under that Environment.

Assign Route

A Route is the combination of an operator code (short, long, or alphanumeric) with a connection to deliver messages.

To add a new Route to the Environment, you begin typing the Route number in the search field.

You see the field populate with available Routes. When you find the desired Route, you select it and select the Add button.

After the Route is added to the table, you select the Save button in the lower right corner.

After you add a Route, you assign it to any of the Workspaces created under the Environment. You complete the Route assignment from the Workspace Configuration.

Assign Virtual Route

A Virtual Route allows the association of prefixes with Routes. You use these configurations when you need to send messages through the same Route on different Connections.

To add a Virtual Route to the Environment, you begin typing the desired Virtual Route in the search field.

You see the field populate with available Virtual Routes. When you find the desired Virtual Route, you select it and select the Add button.

After the Virtual Route is added to the table, you select the Save button in the lower right corner. You see the Virtual Route displayed in the Virtual Route Assignment table.

After you add a Virtual Route, you assign it to any of the Workspaces created under the Environment. You complete the Virtual Route assignment from the Workspace Configuration.
