Broadcasts & Automations
Manage broadcasts and automations across multiple channels in Communications Platform. You create, manage, and optimize broadcasts across multiple automations. You work across three areas: Broadcasts, Automations, and Message Elements.
Broadcast
Use broadcasts to communicate with your audience through various channels. You set up and manage Broadcasts using the following messaging formats:
- WhatsApp: You connect with your audience through the world's most popular messaging app. WhatsApp combines personal messaging with business-scale communication.
- SMS: You send text messages directly to any mobile phone number. Messages appear instantly in your contacts' native messaging apps.
- Email: You deliver formatted HTML emails or plain-text messages to your contacts' inboxes. Use this channel for newsletters, detailed updates, and visual content.
- RCS: Rich Communication Services takes traditional text messaging further with branded experiences, high-resolution images, interactive buttons, and enhanced analytics.
Automations
You engage your audience through interactive experiences with Automations. The following Automations are available:
- Chatbot: A chatbot is a digital assistant that interacts with users to answer questions and perform actions. Chatbots are commonly used to automate support, guide users through processes, and provide instant responses across broadcasts (SMS & WhatsApp).
- Keyword: You empower your audience to take action with keyword-based automations. Contacts text simple words to participate, subscribe, enter contests, or access exclusive content.
- Subscription Form: You grow your audience with an attractive web landing page. New users join your contact list with minimal steps.
- Polls & Surveys: You gather insights, opinions, and feedback through interactive polls and surveys. Customer responses become data for analysis.
Messages Elements
Each broadcast consists of multiple components that define its effectiveness. You configure the following elements for each broadcast and automation:
- Delivery & Recipients: Define when and how messages are sent, including scheduling and automation settings, and manage and segment the audience receiving the Automation messages.
- Message Configuration: Customize messages with dynamic variables to enhance engagement and relevance.
- Summary: Final checkpoint of the broadcast/automation creation flow, where you review all key settings, adjust delivery and tracking parameters, and decide the final state: launch immediately, schedule it, or save it as a draft.
- Keyword (Webhook WhatsApp) : Structure and content of the JSON payloads sent to your webhook when end users interact with a WhatsApp Keyword automation, detailing how different message types are delivered to your application for processing.
- WhatsApp Sender Quality Rating & Status: You learn how WhatsApp sender Status, Quality Rating, and Tier determine eligibility, reputation, and messaging capacity.
