Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Sign in to the Live Chat platform with email-based Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) by confirming a one-time verification code sent to your registered email address.

MFA requires both your password and a time-limited verification code, which helps protect your account if your password is compromised.

Enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

To enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your Workspace (Communications Platform) and Live Chat platform, please contact your Account Manager. They will guide you through the setup process to ensure your account remains secure.

Follow these steps to complete MFA when you sign in to a Workspace and access the Live Chat platform.

  1. Enter your sign-in details

Enter your email address and password, then select Login.

If MFA is enabled for your Workspace, continue to the verification-code screen.

    📘

    NOTE

During the login process, if a user has access to multiple Workspaces, the "Select your Workspace" screen appears after the user enters their email address and password. From this list, the user must select the Workspace associated with the Live Chat platform they want to access.

This selection is important because each Workspace can have its own security configuration, including whether Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled.

Depending on the selected Workspace, the system will either:

    • Prompt for MFA: If the chosen Workspace has MFA enabled, the user will be directed to enter the verification code sent to their email to acces to the Live Chat platform.

    • No MFA Required: If the chosen Workspace does not have MFA enabled, the user is granted immediate access to the Live Chat platform without needing to provide additional authentication.

  2. Retrieve the verification code

The verification screen confirms that a one-time password (OTP)—a code that can be used once—has been sent to your registered email address. Enter the code before the expiration timer reaches zero.

Check your email inbox for the verification code.

  3. Request a new code if the current code expires

An expired verification code is no longer valid. Select Get New Code, check your inbox for the replacement code, and enter it before it expires.

  4. Confirm the code

Enter the verification code and select Confirm.

  5. Access Live Chat

After the system verifies your code, you can access the Live Chat platform.
